Funny or Not?

Jimmy Fallon - Comedic Genius?

Steve WestAm I the only one that thinks Jimmy Fallon is downright hilarious?

Example 1: "Bristol Palin has denied rumors that she's dating The Situation from 'Jersey Shore.' If The Situation becomes Sarah Palin's son-in-law, he'd still have the most normal name of any boy in the family."

Example 2: "House Minority Leader John Boehner says he has never been in a tanning bed and that he gets his dark complexion from his mother. Either he's lying or Snooki's a lot older than she's telling us."

Example 3: Only the best impersonation of Neil Young ...EVER!

Amy AustinYou're not alone. But we very well may be non-Oompah-Loompah Minority Leaders on this.

Steve West"After a lot of speculation, the Chinese government has decided not to change its one-child policy next year. In a related story, China just renewed its most popular show, 'Jon & Kate Plus One and That's It.'" He's killin' me.

Steve WestIt just keeps getting better.

"A new poll found that 41 percent of Americans don't know who the Vice President is. In reponse, Joe Biden was like, "All right, at least give me a hint."

"In an interview on MSNBC, Levi Johnston said he has no idea if additional troops will help the war in Afghanistan. Which of course begs the question, who the hell is asking Levi Johnston about strategy for Afghanistan."

"Goldman Sachs has a new ad to show what the company does. Isn't that what the recession was for?"

Scott HardieThe history of rap bit was pretty good. But he's always been good at impressions.

Steve West"The Senate has passed a new bill that requires TV stations to lower the volume level on commercials. This is great, a hundred of the most powerful people in the nation have managed to do the same thing my remote does."

Steve West • October 5 2010, 9:36pm EST
Steve West"Christine O'Donnell released a commercial in which she says, 'I'm not a witch.' That's pretty good, though not as effective as her opponent's slogan, 'I'm not Christine O'Donnell.'"

The defense rests.

Jon BerryHe comes off as too nervous, no matter the venue. The giggling at his own jokes, the inability to keep a straight face, for me, he just can't pull off humor. Maybe playing characters (as he did in SNL) is more his forte, but as a host, he just can't deliver the material, even when the material written for him IS funny.

Scott HardieSteve, do you follow his Twitter feed? "AT&T had a record 5.2 million new iPhone customers in the 3rd quarter. To celebrate, they had a big party but no reception."

Scott Hardie"A lot of people went on Twitter to complain that the font size used on ballots was too small. ... People who got the small fonts were like, 'I can't see anyone I want to vote for!' People who got the regular size fonts were like, 'I can't see anyone I want to vote for!'"
