Death, Taxes, and You're Wrong

Recent conversation with Brenda:
Brenda: Does the sunset look strange to you? It looks like the sun is in front of the poles we're passing. What would cause that?
me: Uhhh...refraction? Light bending around objects, maybe.
Brenda: No, it's not that. It's probably more like I'm seeing an after-image on my retinas. I don't know.
me: You don't know but you're sure I'm wrong.
Brenda: Yeah.
me: So you don't have a single clue as to what is causing this phenomenon but you can be certain of one thing - I'm wrong.
Brenda: Now you've got it.

Book Autopsies
An artist named Brian Dettmer has a unique talent, at least I've never seen anything like it. Book autopsies in which he pares books to various levels and displays portions of their contents, words and illustrations, for an interesting perspective. Very clever. Go »
Halloween Is Not For Kids

Toothpicks, They're Not Just For Club Sandwiches Anymore

Placing Lust's Arrow In Cupid's Quiver
It's refreshing to reflect that the human race survived the sexually repressive Victorian Era. That women actually overcame their culturally reinforced suppression of sexual urges and ultimately spread their legs for something other than yeast related trail-blazing. Let's relive those glory days with the Victorian Sex Cry Generator and see where Fern Michaels gets her inspiration. Go »
