Trivia

The Sepoy Mutiny was the name of Samir Mehta's pirate ship in Pirate Paradise, another game on Funeratic.

Rajeev Subram was named after a player character in Fin du siècle, Scott Hardie's previous RPG set in 1899. Rajeev's story was an actual Indian fable, although it is usually presented as an open-ended thought exercise, rather than a riddle with a correct answer.

Rocambole was a flamboyant swordsman and world traveler in a series of adventure novels by Pierre Alexis Ponson du Terrail.

Arsène Lupin was a gentleman thief in a series of detective novels by Maurice Leblanc.

Harold Zidler and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec were real historical figures.

The Green Fairy and Satine, as well as the physical description of the Moulin Rouge nightclub, were drawn from the film Moulin Rouge! by Baz Luhrmann. Caleb's dislike of the nightclub was inspired by Jeff Coopes's vocal dislike of the movie.

The song composed by the players was inspired by Beauty and the Beast by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve.

The Nyctalope was an early superhero in serialized fiction by Jean de La Hire.

A.J. Raffles was a gentleman thief in a series of novels by Ernest William Hornung.

The title of the game session was an Alfred Hitchcock movie.
